Opened in October 2026 in the heart of the Marais (Paris, France), LXVIII RUE DES ARCHIVES is a new curatorial platform founded by Danielle Cardoso and Frank Elbaz. Housed in a seventeenth-century hôtel particulier, it brings together exhibition spaces, an artists’ residency, a garden and areas dedicated to conversations and private events.
Designed by ATTA – Atelier Tsuyoshi Tane Architects, the project explores the relationship between architecture, memory and contemporary creation. Indoor and outdoor spaces unfold in a continuous dialogue, allowing the history of the building to engage with the artworks, people and ideas that inhabit it.

Private collection. Acquired by Gustave Fayet on 3 December 1901 from Fanny Leclercq (widow of Julien Leclercq), who retained it until the end of his life. This work has not been exhibited in France since 1909.
A visionary collector, Gustave Fayet was among the first to acquire works by Vincent van Gogh, exhibit Pablo Picasso and champion artists such as Paul Gauguin and Odilon Redon. Beyond his remarkable collection, he was also an artist, an entrepreneur and a prolific creator in the decorative arts, playing an important role in the emergence of modern art at the turn of the 20th century.

I’ve always been drawn to Cyrille’s way of looking at space and landscape. His work explores the encounters between architecture, light and everyday life, as well as the ways people transform and inhabit their surroundings. His photographs leave room for imagination. They shift our perception of time and space, and invite us to look at familiar places differently.

A presentation of the work of François Ristori, an artist for whom painting is an ongoing process, where the gesture repeats, transforms, and extends itself without ever truly coming to an end.
Bringing together around fifteen works—five paintings, seven drawings, as well as a work by Claude Rutault—one painting is exceptionally displayed on both sides, thereby revealing two temporalities of creation.

The collaboration between artist Tatsuo Miyajima and ATTA – Atelier Tsuyoshi Tane Architects gives rise to a total work in which art and architecture are inseparable. Together, they create a place where memory becomes experience and the landscape becomes narrative. This circular space, sheltered by a vast roof, appears to emerge from the ground, as if the building had always been there.

Recently, I’ve been reading three books that have further nourished the way I think about and practise communication:

- The Eyes of the Skin by Juhani Pallasmaa
Taking care of things means recognising their value beyond appearances, paying attention
to what shapes them, what they carry and what they transmit. It means resisting obsolescence and spectacle in favour of care, continuity and precision. Defending a form of beauty that is not a privilege, but a shared sensory experience, rooted in places, everyday practices and collective life. Learning to look differently,
to listen to materials, to experience spaces and
to embrace the memories they hold.
This also means shifting our attention from image to experience, from visibility to relationships, from immediacy to the long term. Communication, in this sense, is not simply about making things visible, but about revealing what deserves to be seen, and creating connections between ideas, places, works and people. It is about sharing stories without diminishing their complexity, giving projects greater reach without compromising their singularity, and creating the conditions for meaningful, lasting encounters between those who create and those who experience, inhabit or carry their work forward.

My highlight at Paris Internationale artfair this year: Polish photographer Teresa Gierzyńska, who has explored the representation of female bodies and the social norms shaping women’s identities since the late 1960s.
Through her series About Her, she offers a sensitive and thought-provoking introspection into female identity, intimacy, and desire, challenging the stereotypes and labels imposed on women. Experimenting with photographic reproduction techniques such as photocopying and thermocopying, she pushes the boundaries of the medium to create intimate, unconventional images.

As we follow and interact with Guadalupe,
an unusual and unpredictable look at the spaces and structure of the building opens up.

Through ornament, refined taste, craftsmanship and a break from the ordinary, luxury expands our relationship with time, space and the senses.
She ultimately advocates for a form of “public luxury”: making beauty, excellence and the quality of our shared environments common goods, essential to collective well-being.

I’m delighted to share that my photograph Pont des Soupirs is featured in issue #4 of Sel d’Argent titled I Planted My Hands in the Garden.

There is nothing elevated about the way the Louisiana presents art: everything is at eye level; everything speaks, as best as it can, directly to people: their senses, emotions, and intellect.
Last month, I had the chance to visit a very special place: the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, near Copenhagen. An incredible museum built facing the sea, where I instantly felt a sense of calm.
